Ear care and dander help

Hidey had an ear infection last year (luckily, his first) but since then his ears seem to get dirty often. I try to wipe them out with a cotton swab and that helps but I am looking to get ear wipes and drops. Is this ok with his diabetes? Also is there a brand or type anyone would recommend?

Also has anyone tried the gnc formula for healthy skin and coats for cats? Hidey has some dander and its improved since his diagnosis but its still enough to be bothersome.

Cotton swabs seem to make my cats ears irritated, if I need to wipe them out, I normally use baby wipes (the kind without alcohol) or just plain tissue. (Very rare tho)
