Ok, sooo...Dweezil's fructosamine results came back as higher than the vet expected. We don't know details yet though.
Apparently it showed that his dosage is not too high and that he hasn't been bouncing.
He has another fructosamine test scheduled for next week so we'll see what happens.
It'll also be interesting to see what his BG levels are then as compared to the previous levels.
I have so far had no luck in getting blood at home. It seems whether i get blood or not, Dweezy runs away into an awkward spot (even in the smallest room he will hide his head) the minute the ear prick occurs, so i can't get to him.
It seems that previous BG readings of 144 AMPS and 65 nadir were an anomaly, when his levels were so normal. I don't know why this would've happened though. But the day before, his urine glucose was high as it had been all the time leading up to that date, and two days after, it was back up again, and has been up ever since.
His diet has not changed and he is eating all low carb foods.
His signs are also good. Feisty and happy, good grooming, good appetite, good energy, nice luscious fur, weight has been maintained and has gone up a little bit, water consumption is totally normal and despite the urine glucose readings being consistently high, the frequency and amount of pee is normal and we can no longer smell cider in his litter.
