I know what to do in a hypo situation, have my kit ready just in case; and there is a solution to bringing low numbers up.

My question is: in a hyper situation, is there a solution to bring numbers down, even if it works temporarily (the same day)?

If you take a look at Gobbles SS, you can see my concern.

Re: hypo/hyper question

Yup. You wait. The highs are a result of skipping a shot and it takes a while for numbers to come down.

Lantus will teach you patience. Ask Marje for the loan of her patience pants.

Re: hypo/hyper question

Ah yes...Marje's patience pants...we've all borrowed them - they've made their rounds!

Like Sienne said, time is the fixer for high numbers. You really are on the right track, even though those high numbers are nerve-wracking. You're making dose adjustments as you need to - you'll get there, you really will! Like someone said yesterday, better to be high for a day than low for a minute. Another favorite phrase around here is that FD is a marathon, not a sprint. We all have the natural desire to "fix it" immediately, but unfortunately it's usually not a quick fix, thus the need for the patience pants!

BTW, thanks for "liking" my store's FB page! We are lucky and have a lot of fun. When I tried to get back to Gobby's condo last night to thank you, the board was down.
