Since we've been decreasing Plum's dose by 0.25 increments, it's getting harder & harder to accurately gauge what a 0.75, 0.5, 0.25 dose is. We've been using syringes labeled 3/10 mL/cc, doses up to 30 units for U-100 insulin. DH came home with a package of 1/2mL/cc, doses up to 50 units syringes. These are a little bit easier to read (but not much.) But are they the same dosage? I've been afraid to use any of them. And if not, any recommendations for finding syringes that do come with smaller markings? Thank you - and apologies for a question that has probably been asked a millionteen times before.

There are no dumb questions here!!

What you need are syringes with half unit markings....they're the best we can get. You can get them from WalMart as well as lots of places on the internet like ADW

All these have half unit markings and are the correct syringes for U100 insulin and are available from ADW online:
UtiCare
Monoject
Carepoint
Sure Comfort
BD Ultra-Fine

These are the ones at WalMart you'd want to get

Thank you so much! I'm heading to Wal-Mart later today (oh boy) to get more strips, so will find the syringes. That is so helpful!

A lot of WalMart pharmacists say they don't have any syringes with half unit markings (which is why I highlighted the parts I did in that picture!)

You might want to take the picture with you....LOL

You can get 30 or 31 gauge....31 are the "thinnest", but there's not that much difference between 30 and 31 (sometimes they don't have both gauges)
