Sam has gone from 386 to 84 (we're at +5) right now. This is usually about his nadir, so I'm not too worried about a hypo, but I'm a little worried. Also, it's bedtime here.

He free feeds and has food available whenever he wants to eat - he's actually having a little snack right now.

Can someone take a peek at his spreadsheet and advise if I should stay up and get another test until he rises, or if I should relax and not worry so much? (It's his first green - hooray!!!)

I am new and can't advise. Just moral support. Congrats on green. And you might want to get a plumber about all that hair in your sink!!! :) hope they are along to help you shortly. Might want to put a ? In front of your thread and maybe post in the insulin forum that your using too. :) good luck and safe surfing

@Djamila could you stay up to get one more test? Since Sam is probably at or near nadir the next test should give you an idea if he's starting to go up or still dropping.

If he's dropping at next test then I would suggest a little medium carb food .

Congrats on your first green! Hopefully there are more to come :D Personally I'd like to see him rise before I'd go to bed - maybe check at 15-20 minutes? If he's going up you can sleep soundly.

LOL...between two cats and my long hair, you have no idea how true that is! ;) I posted in the Prozinc forum as well, but most of the folks there on the east coast, so at night I thought I might try this forum too. Thanks for the moral support! I can't decide if I'm happy or nervous about that green!

Thanks for your help! I'll stay up a bit later and see how it goes. He just had a little snack, so hopefully he'll rise a bit soon.

Good luck! I'm a late-night east-coast US person, so I'll be around for sure! I'm not as good as Kris (or Sue, she'll be missed but hopefully her DH will recover well!) but I'm not a complete newbie ;) I've just been away for a little while with computer issues.

Thanks so much! I know I'm a bit late for most of the people on the Prozinc forum. It's about 15 minutes before we hit +5.5, so I think I'll test again then. That should give enough time for his most recent snack to register. Fingers crossed he goes up a bit - I'm not good at staying up late!

I work 2nd shift so I'm always up late for an east coaster :) Hopefully he's rising gently so you can get yourself to bed!

Very nice, Sam :cat:. I was kinda anxious when I had Maury's first double digit too! His lowest reading on the human meter was 47. I did a test on the AT2 when he was that low so I was a little better but still wanted to make sure it was rising after his nadir and scary number.

@ShipsCat Do you mind being tagged once in a while? I feel like I pester Kris too much  but don't know too many other experienced ProZinc members, and Sue is taking time off. I hope her DH recovers well :)

That's fine, Yong! I'm not anywhere near Kris or Sue in experience, but I try to help where I can. And I'll certainly admit when I don't know something but at least I can give support while we wait for more experienced people to give advice :)
