Dropped insulin

I dropped ashleys lantus vial and it shattered... costly mistake There is none left for his night dose. Given it is a sunday the vet is closed. Walgreens has refused to give me an emergency fill.

Not sure what to do. I have prozinc but my thoughts is that might be more dangerous than just skipping the dose but i dont know much about this stuff so thought i would ask you all- everyone always gives great advice!

You will mis at least two does, this evening and tomorrow morning.
If BGs are running high I would give some ProZinc.
I would ask your vet for a script for the disposable pens, although more expensive than the via per unit one can usually use up a whole 3 ml pen before the Lantus loses effectiveness. You use the pen like a vial, sticking the syringe needle in the stopper where the pen needle goes. Not not inject air into the pen.
