i know, i know, i have lots of critters, but this dog picked me.

she has developed what appears to be an eye infection, on this holiday of course. i have some ophthalmic erythromycin that i use on civvie cat Shadow sometimes, is it safe for this dog do you think?

You might be able to find out with a web search. I would just go with frequent wipes with a wet sterile pad or cotton make-up remover wipe. Sometimes removal of the gunk is enough to slow down problem and let their body kick in. Former pekingese owner.
