Hi everyone--I know there are tons of new members but for those who remember all the issues I had with Rico (Dre's civvie) after the dental last year I wanted to share the news!!
RICO IS OFFICIALLY IN REMISSION!!!:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
19 years old and going strong-
After the dental he had water like poo so we tried pred after thousands of dollars from specialists.
Then, after the heart failure due to the pred he was weaned onto budesonide which in turn gave him FD.
We began the trial with healthy poo 2x a day as I weaned him off of budesonide and VERYYY slowly he turned the corner- https://www.animalbiome.com
He only got insulin for a short time as I saw the symptoms pretty quick.
He is back to his ideal weight and bright and happy!
He is still getting a maintenance dose of the poo pill as well as canna pet.

I am so grateful to this forum for teaching me how to handle diabetes. Dre is probably a lifer for diabetes but he remains happy and bright.
Doctor was here today and drew blood :cat:
I keep you all in my thoughts and prayers...:bighug::bighug::bighug:

It is kind of funny how we learn things from each other that are such a relief:smuggrin:
This forum has taught me so much I feel so happy knowing I could help Elmo!:cat:

Elmos ss is amazing!

I lost Sheba in January to pancreatic cancer. It all happened very quickly and was pretty devastating. She had a very peaceful crossing for which I was very thankful but I miss her a lot. Our FD kitties are very special.
Oh Bron I am so sorry....Sheba was very special an VERY loved...I will keep you in my prayers and pray that you may feel her little paw reach out to let you know she is still with you just in a different form.....:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

I looked into NM but don't see any ingredients listed. Do you know what's in it?

no change - he is a lifer as well - still all over the place - having on and off IBD/pancreatitis episodes :(
Rico had a episode of 1 or the other a few days ago..... he was miserable but I gave a little fluids so I could give a shot of cerenia (he puked his pills) after the shot he kept a ondansetron down and ate a tiny but of baby food-it lasted about 2 days but he was rebounding by day 2. It is so stressful! I think the poo pills help with that lots-
