Bree, I just copied the below from questions answered by Chewy. I remember when I fed the chicken pate, it was right at 2 carbs, so it looks accurate.

Dr. Elsey's Clean Protein cans:

Chicken: This formula has a phosphorus content of 1.33%, a protein content of 49.72%, a fat content of 37.02% and carbohydrate content of 2.25% all on a dry matter basis.

Salmon: This formula has a phosphorus content of 1.92% and carbohydrate content of 5.13% all on a dry matter basis.

BTW - Hi Zed:cat:

I had the same question some time ago. The link to the thread is here.
I went through the replies of the thread and found Marje's calculations for the different formulas I was using. I'll paste them below. Hope it helps.

Beef: 2% (rounded up) calories from carbs;
Salmon: 1% (rounded up) calories from carbs;
Chicken: 2% (rounded up) calories from carbs;
Turkey: 2% calories from carbs;
Whitefish: 2% (rounded down) calories from carbs.

This is assuming “dry weight” is the same as DMB (it appears to be).

Edit to add. This is for the canned foods, not the dry formulas.
