Hello all! Just need a little bit of advice since Toes numbers have been running in the 100's all day (yay!!). So it has been 6 days since his dental extractions/cleaning was done. I suppose he is feeling much better the past few days since there's no huge spike in his numbers.. fingers crossed we keep heading in the right direction!

So my question is, if he is still in the 100's at his PMPS, what exactly should I give him this evening. He is currently on 2.75u prozinc twice a day. Wish I had more numbers yesterday on my spreadsheet, but we weren't home.. ty in advance! <3

A lot can happen in a few hours. How long until your PMPS time?

IF you get a number under 150, stall, don't feed and update your subject line to indicate you're stalling.

Nice to see some better numbers!

I just tested and his +10 was 151. His PMPS will be in about an hour.

If you have plenty of supplies and can test tonight, I'd go ahead with the scheduled dose and get a +1 and +2

If it's too nervewracking to do that, you could go with a slightly smaller dose.

10 mins ago he was at 178. I do have plenty of supplies to test him tonight. So just go ahead with the usual 2.75 or maybe drop him to 2.5?

I'd go with the 2.75....he's on the way up which is a good sign that the last shot is wearing off fast.

Get a +1 and +2 so IF he starts to drop, you can intervene early if you need to.

I know!! :) I did give 2.5 just bc I was a little nervous.. but I am going to keep an eye on him still. Make sure he doesn't drop too low!

@Chris & China (GA) not sure if you're still up. His +4 was 96. Was going to test again 30mins after that to make sure he isn't dropping still. Should I give some gravy now or if it's lower when I retest?

96 is a very safe number. I'd give him a snack of his regular low carb food and hopefully that will be enough to keep him from dropping too low.

We don't intervene with high carb gravy until they drop below 50 on a human meter

@Chris & China (GA) thank you! And sorry, didn't know if you'd still be up. That what I was thinking, but I wanted to double check.. I haven't seen these good of numbers in a LONG time! His +5 was 93. So he's holding steady at the moment!
