Well, I will say that jumping that high isn't really that uncommon. The thing about bounces is that they usually are preceded by super low numbers (or super low for that cat anyway). From what I understand, this makes the cat's body freak out because it's not used to the low numbers. The body then releases extra glucose that it had stored to try to pull it back up. This causes the number to be much higher since extra glucose than normal is coming out to play. BJ can explain it better...I'm not super great with explanations on that.
Honestly, I'm not 100% certain what's going on. It's odd that he surfed along for awhile yesterday and now jumped back so high to me. The drop last night wasn't really that much. BUT...that could have been the beginnings of a bounce that led us to this morning.
I'm interested to see what others will say about your SS today. I don't know if my coffee hasn't kicked in or what, but I'm having trouble making sense of this. I think sticking with your dose was good, and if you can get a nadir so we can see if this drops him low, it'll give some interesting data. It can help us figure out where to go tonight hopefully if he's still high!
Sorry for my ramblings...the later in the week it gets, the less coherent I get I think!
