I noticed this post late last night http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/...agnosed-diabetic-cat-with-high-sugars.138349/ and tried to give some information as this new member is being told to dose his cat with Lantus on a sliding scale by his vet.
I've given him some of the links about Lantus, how it works and the protocols and worked out what we would have used as a starting dose based on the weight of his cat but I'd appreciate if others could take a look and help him work out if he should drop down to a standard starting dose and work up from there - the cat is currently on 4u twice daily, but varying depending on the pre-shot numbers.
