Hi Marci,
If stored properly- and it sounds like it is at your place, Lev is good to the last drop!
All of our SS's ( except mine and Pamela's 'cuz we have not updated :? ) reflect that, and I can speak to mine, I use to last drop and see NO difference whatever in BG's....
And, the dose...yeah...I would hold it, too! I like the green today you posted about....
Patience, Grasshopper... ;-)
If you or Buddy have issues with the highs to lows gap, you can always dose a titch less ( like .1 or .05) to lower the gap between the highs and lows....that is what I do with my PK. He does NOT do the swings well at all, but if I keep him between 100 and 300, he does purrfect!
I realize it is higher than ideal and most folks shoot for OTJ or at least tight regulation, but my Pauly won't do any such thing...he is a much happier cat on a higher but shallow curve than on a swinging curve.
Seems like the higher but shallow curve gives his body the time, predictability and gentless it needs to get lower doses on its own...like he just lived on .4 for like 4 months and now suddenly he needed a 50% dose reduction to get out of the swings....He now gets .2u and that is keeping him between 70 and 300 right now...still too much swing for us but we are working on it.
But's that us...I just wanted to put that out there.
