Dose advice after curve

Thanks for those curve results!
Petunia has been in the yellow colored BG ranges the entire curve. That can often indicate that your cat is ready to "clear the bounce", so it's worth keeping an eye on the BG readings for this evening's cycle.

Clearing the bounce means that Petunia could drop even lower than normal this PM cycle, or perhaps in the AM cycle. Something to be aware of.

Yes, those tiny doses of insulin are hard to measure. You do the best you can, and try to be consistent. Maybe make a "reference syringe" with some colored water. That way, you can compare the amount of insulin you drew up to your reference guide syringe.

Some people also use calipers to measure the dose. Dosing with Calipers
Or when on Prozinc, instead of using the U40 syringes, they use the U100 syringes and the conversion chart to know how much insulin to draw up in the U100 syringe for their U40 concentration insulin. (2.5 times the U40 dose is the amount to draw up in the U100 syringe)

If you do use U100 syringes, make a note of that on the SS and keep recording the dose as if you are still using U40 syringes.

Well so far tonight she’s still staying around the same! Unless someone wakes me up I’m done for tonight.

Great idea about the reference syringe! I’m going to keep on with the U40’s for now...till I can’t stand it anymore! Thanks for all your help!

It’s so hard to tell for me! Her +2 is down some. I went ahead & stuck with .25 for PM does. Should I hold it tomorrow also?

It kind of depends on how Petunia does during this evenings cycle. If she drops below 90 again at nadir, which seems most likely around +4 to +5 it seems, then she has earned another reduction.

Keeping this dose, the 0.25U dose, and giving Petunia time to settle into this dose is a way to see if this dose is enough. Right now, that wait time should be at least 5-10 cycles and it's only been 5 cycles. I'd suggest giving the dose a bit more time, before you decide it isn't working for Petunia.
