So yesterday Doogle dropped down to 48 at +4.75. We gave him a shot yesterday morning with a PS of 175. I was reclutant but we have shot below 200 before. I figured he would go up some but I guess I was wrong. Anyway, fed him at +2 and he ate fine. Then when he started to drop more I gave him a little bit more food (about a teaspoonful). He continued to drop, so I gave him some honey, didnt work. Dropped some more and gave more honey....still dropping. He wouldnt eat at all so I syringe fed him some HC when he hit 48. He went up finally but didnt want to eat or do much at all. He started throwing up about 30 minutes after syringe feeding. He was drinking water like he did when he was DX. But threw that up also. Anytime he got sick it was white foam. Tried some Pepcid and he threw that up also. We didnt give him a shot till late that night when he got up HI (1u). I syringe fed him a little to make sure he had food on him, threw some of that up also later. All he wanted to do was sleep. So took him to the vet today and he was given an anti nausea shot. He isnt dehydrated at least. So brought him home and he was wanting to eat. So I fed him a tiny bit and he ate it fine and kept it down. Then he went to sleep for a bit. About 8 hours later he ate a little bit of baby food and we gave him a shot of 1u. He still isnt wanting to eat but he is drinking ok. He is going to the bathroom some and no diarrhea at least like last time (he was sick for a week in the end of May). I dont know what caused this. Could it have been to much honey or to many carbs? He didnt get into anything at all (he was isolated to my room all day and night). If I ask the vet for some anti nausea medicine how do I give it to him if he wont eat? I hate seeing him sick like this. I dont know what is causing this. I asked about pancreatitis and he was tested in May and his levels were elevated but nothing to alarm pancreatitis. I dont know what to do anymore.

Hi Donna & Doogle!
I am also from Birmingham AL. You are the only folks on the board that I've ever known to live anywhere close to me! I'm happy to meet you!!
I hope that Doogle gets better soon! Sending you both purr's and prayers!! :YMHUG:

You might discuss with the vet treating "as if" he had pancreatitis.
B-12 injections are supposed to help reduce the pancreas inflammation and prevent future attackes.

The throwing up is probably the honey - too much can upset their stomachs. I did that once with Tiggy and he wouldnt eat for 2 days after. And of course all the honey spiked his BG.

How long did you wait each time? Normally its feed 1-2 tsp of HC (or LC with 1 drop syrup) then wait 30 mins and retest. Not sure if you gave the honey enough time.

I am seeing a few issues with your dosing etc... what protocol or dosing regime are you using and do you want more feedback?

To be honest I cant remember now how long I waited....I am pretty sure it was more than 30 mins. I know my dosing is a little weird but I am been really cautious and going slow with dosing because of what happened in May. Spoke with the vet this morning and he said it may take him a day or two to get back to normal. If I want, I can get some anti nausea meds from him. But if he is drinking and keeping it down he doesnt need to come in for fluids. He is using the litterbox like normal at least. I guess I just cant stand to see him like this. It kills me to see him (or any of the herd) sick.

he should be ok..

I think the 2 units was working better for him so hopefully you can get back to that soon. Do you post on the TR board? You might want to, get some experienced dosing eyes on him.
