Thinking about you and Doodlebug a lot today. Sending love and recovery vines to you both. ((((((Michelle and Doodle))))))

Hi Michelle. Just dropping by to let you know that your and Doodle are very much in my thoughts and prayers. I hope that everything went well today and that they were able to remove the mass. I hope that Doodles recovery is quick and uneventful. It really sounds like he couldn't be in a better place. Sending much love and healing vines and a blizzard of calming snow flakes. Hang in there,

ps i hope brielle's fever is gone an that she is feeling lots better.

posting for Michelle. She will come back later and elaborate, but she is tired and trying to rest. Doodle arrived home last night with a feeding tube, but without having the mass removed yet.

............................

finally figured out the feeding tube. I'm exhausted...
We will drive back down to UFL on Sunday and Doodle is scheduled to have the mass removed on Monday. They elected not to do the surgery yesterday because he had already been under anesthesia long enough for the CT scan and feeding tube and felt that it wasn't safe to leave him under any longer.

Michelle

Sending tons of prayers, snowflakes, and healing vines to your Doodle. We hope his breathing problem is relieved, his biopsy is negative, and he gets back to eating on his own soon. You will be his saving grace and we hope he is home with you soon where he can heal.

Hi Michelle
I've been following your thread for updates ... glad to hear he's got his tube in ok and can get some nutrition on board before the surgery. It's frustrating to have to split up the procedures but it sounds like it was the best choice. I know at my hospital, they try to avoid doing certain types of procedures after a certain time of day (late in the day) because they want all the specialists to be there on-call to care for the cat when he wakes up.

I know you must be worried about the big C, and it is a concern in any kitty, esp an older one, but cats can and do get benign but ugly polyps in that area and that's what I'm pulling for now. I assume they did CT his chest and there was no bad news there? If it's just an icky polyp they should be able to remove it and get him back to breathing normally asap -- fingers crossed over here!

Kisses to Doodle, and hugs to you and your family.

PS It is a relief to be able to push meds through the feeding tube, isn't it? So much less stressful for the both of you.
