I just can't seem to figure this out!
Brie was doing really well when we switched to Basaglar at the end of May. She was on 1u and then started dropping lower often so we went down to 0.75u. This seemed to work well for a while again but the same thing started happening so we went down to 0.5u.... ok numbers for a bit and then just getting higher and higher - went back up to 0.75 and she dropped to 3.3mmol (59) so we went back down and again the numbers kept getting higher! She hit 24mmol (432) a few days ago that was higher than when she was initially diagnosed (23.5mmol). I started back up on 0.75u the next day and again she dropped lower today.......
I just don't know where to go from here. I feed her low carb wet FF and Friskies but have been topping her up when she drops with Royal Canin HC wet... She gets fed at shot time and a snack +2. Has anyone tried feeding LC dry (tiki Cat dry 11% carbs) at her snack time to help the BG rise slowly throught her cycle? It's the only thing I can think of.
The 0.75 is hard enough to measure on the 3/10cc needles that I can't imagine having to do a skinny/fat dose.
ANY HELP OR TIPS WOULD BE GREAT!
*I know I don't have a lot of numbers for PM - She is really hard to test and I have a chronic illness that makes me exhausted at night. Doing the best I can...
