Doing a curve today

You test every 2 to 3 hours for the 12 hours between shots (or the best you can do). A +2 or +3 is nice to see when the insulin starts working, a +5/6 helps you see when the insulin might take her lowest, +7/8 may help you see when she starts headed up as does a test around +10. You can give small snacks during the day rewarding her every time you poke.

To get the best curve you should do a prehot test and then a test every 2 hours +2 +4 +6 +8 + 10 then the next preshot.

If you are not able to do a full curve then the preshot +2 +4 and +6 are important. That will let you know where Maddie is starting from, how soon the Prozinc is starting to act and how low it takes the numbers. Usually nadir on Prozinc is around +6 but that can vary with each cat,

Good luck with your curve :)
