? Does testing while eating affect numbers?

Let me preface by saying this isn't going to be a regular thing for me, but to get my baby to hold still while I pricked her ear for the first time I put down some food pre-shot and tested her while she munched. Just getting her used to it at first. ^-^ Her pre-shot reading was 519, would the fact that she was just starting to eat while I pricked her affect the numbers or no? Just curious how accurate that reading was!

Her numbers won't be affected until the food gets into her system.

Oh really? About how long does that take, a half hour? An hour? Could I theoretically test her right after she finishes eating for accurate readings?
Right now she's too obsessed with food to hold still at breakfast-time.

Testing within 1/2 hour of STARTING to eat should be fine.
