Does Kitty have Diabetes?

Hi I am concerned my cat my have diabetes and his Oncologist didn't recognize it and misinterpreted Kitty's symptoms to be from his lymphoma. Based on that she might have made an error.

Kitty's lab results were:
Blood glucose :281
urine glucose 3+
microalbuminuria 6.3 mg/dl (ref <2.5)

frucosamine 330 umol/L ( 142-450)

Thanks can you explain please. The fructosomine is in the range of good regulation.
 
Welcome. Fructosamine in upper end of normal range (190-365 is the range I have found). So, that does not look like diabetes, but the +3 glucose in the urine sure does. Are their clinical symptoms?
 
Try a diet change. Are you feeding any dry? If so switch to all wet, no gravy. Try feeding fancy feast classic or Friskies pate foods and see if the numbers cone down on their own.

Your cat is kind of boarderline. I bet a diet change would make a big difference.

Normal bg is 68-150, so 281 is high.... But vet stress would contribute to it.... And if she ate in the last hour or so that would raise it too.
 
Kitty was put to rest yesterday because he had a probable allergic reaction on the way home from elpsar but if oncologist told us to treat diabetes we would have never given shot.
 
symptoms urination and drinking alot, spaced out, lethargy , weakness and inappetance but chemoo/cancer could cause that. He had 94 degree body temperature for unknown reason but blanket got it up.
I am thinking our oncologist contributed to killing our cat maybe.
