does insulin smell like cheap bandaids if you miss

I think I missed tonite but I have no way to know for sure.
My cat's neck smells like an old cheap plastic bandaid, the one's with so much goo on them that the sticky stuff is hard to get off.
I have to guess that is what the insulin smells like and I didn't get it in her tonite.

It does have a smell.

More noticeable is the wetness left after the shot. I always rub the area with my fingers afterwards to see if I find any wetness.

I did feel the area , gave it a little rub and didn't feel wet.
Perhaps it leaked back out. :?

It does have a really sterile smell.. Like bandaids. So maybe a little leaked out? If it was a lot it would be a very strong smell.

I always thought that's what it smelled like, so yes, I'd say that was probably the insulin. Although maybe it's just because a drop leaked out of the syringe before you injected it, or something? Doesn't necessarily mean it was a fur shot.

Lantus does have a sort of antiseptic band-aid like smell.

I always thought of band aids when we missed a shot, or squirted out extra insulin!
