My foster Tilly is so moody all the time and lashes out at the other cats, not sure whether its her personality or whether she is like this cause she isn't regulated yet.

If her bg is going really high and then really low like a roller coaster, she probably isn't feeling too good. Or it could just be her .

well until today her bg was high all the time following the protocol i got it down to just under 400 20.3 in the uk but she is still moody as hell. LOL really hoping its the diabetes

KT slaps his brothers around when he's in the 100's but that's 'playful' for him. When we were first starting this dance, there was a time that I would describe as moody. His numbers were going up and down, his body wasn't used to that making everything go wonky. He'd give everyone dirty looks and slap anyone that bugged him....

Hugs

That made me laugh just the image of his dirty looks lol
Yeah she is smacking any cat which passes her unless your about to feed her. And she spends her entire time sitting by the kitchen blocking their way

Before Smokie was regulated she seemed to feel bad and was irritable.
Some of the oldtimers on here said Smokie was feeling the way we feel when we
have the flu.
The flu makes me feel terrible.

yeah poor thing she isn't so moody with us mostly the cats i mean i will get the odd growl but she will swipe the cats lol

Musette will growl or swipe at the other cats every now and then but then again she is a tortie and its just her tortietude showing now. Before I got her BGs under control she was a nasty little girl, she would go from purring to biting or swiping in about 2.5 seconds. Now she is good with the elder cats but still puts the kittens in their place on a daily basis...lol

When Spitzer is hungry, no one else better get in his way as he will go after them! Now that he's feeling a little better, he is more relaxed.

Thanks BJM that makes me feel more helpful lol
She is not regulated yet so I'm hoping its that otherwise she might have to be kept away from the other cats

Feeding on separate dishes gives everyone a little distance and there may be less conflict.

Feliway diffuser in hre most frequented room and Feliway collar on her may help her be calmer too. Best prices are generally found online - try Amazon, Lambert Pet Supply, Calvet Supply and so on.

Some folks swear by the Bach flower essences and there is one (or more) for calming. I have not used them.

haha oh i have to feed her in a different room cause she gets manic when she is hungry but every time they walk past her she growls hisses and smacks them
