Does anyone know how much sugar is in Tonic-Lax?

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone knows how much sugar is in TONIC-LAX? I have tried to find it but can't. I am wondering if it has something to do with Sheba's high BG levels in the evenings the last few nights.

Hey Susan,

The info I found is probably the exact same you did... it lists the medical ingredients, but not what's in the 'palletable base'. I'd be wary too.

I was giving Simba petromalt & occasional lactulose for the longest time and it was working like a charm... now I have him on Restoralax which did yield results last night, and hoping for again tonight! (Restoralax is the canadian version of mirilax).

I have mentioned restoralax to my vet, but they made other suggestions, I think I will pick some up tomorrow and give it a try. I've also recently been informed of something called vetasyl which is a fibre capsule. I was going to order that as well. I am hoping to find one thing that works instead of the 4 - 5 things that she is currently on.

Yes, all I could find is the medicinal ingredients.

hey Susan, you might want to ask the board about fibre... I seem to remember hearing that fibre is not good for FD cats, but I could be wrong
