Curious, where everyone is getting their Lantus. In NW Washington, USA a vile runs close to $300 dollars!!
I see a Canadian pharmacy sells the same product for around $120.

If you drive over you can find it for $76 USD - shop around a bit - Shopper's Drug Mart was recommended to me. Close to the border...personally, worth the trip. Our Costco sells Lantus for $275...ouch!

We live on the very south side of Washington and though we are somewhat close to Canada driving there is not an option so I will try the online pharmacy. thank you!!

I'm a Canadian......these are over the counter drugs here and therefore wouldn't be a problem (I have American friends who buy other drugs non-regulated here and take them over no issues)

US Customs will not prevent you from bringing medications in from Mexico or Canada IF it's only enough for personal use. I would avoid coming into the US with a boatload of prescription medications of any kind. I've brought asthma inhalers back from Mexico for my son - no problems...there is no prescription required and the cost is much less than US prices.

Here's an interesting article about diabetic meds here in the US - pity the poor individuals who have diabetes and need insulin daily and they use much more (typically) than what we're giving our cats.

I wonder how much it is in Mexico and if you need an rx there. Too far for me but I used to live 7 miles from the Mexican boarder and would get all kinds of meds there. One time I was super sick with an upper respiratory infection and needed cough medicine with codine (had the rx from US doc) but all the pharmacies on the US side were closed. We drove to Reynosa and got it filled no problem. Pharmacist did make a copy of the written prescription to hand carry back across with the cough medicine though (as a precaution). The US customs didn't even question me on the return drive (but that was 20+ years ago).
