Do you shoot 'around the clock? Or a favorite go-to spot?

Hello all!

I was wondering if you shoot around your cat's body. For example, an injection at the right shoulder, then the next at the right side, then the right haunch, the left haunch, back up to the left side, etc etc...in a round the clock fashion? Or do you tend to have a go-to spot?

ALSO, have you noticed any differences in the BG when you shoot into a particular spot vs. another?

Hi Lisa and Jax,

I'm no expert but since no one else posted yet, here goes.

i've read there are differences in how fast the insulin absorbs depending on which spot you shoot but i'm not sure how much difference. the two choices of location seem to be either the scruff about an inch off the spine or a "belly shot". i think they say the belly shot absorbs faster. you could use this information to your advantage if you know which way their curve is going. also, don't shoot the exact same spot all the time, it can get scarred up and will prevent absorption. i do use the scruff each time and try to vary slightly the exact location each time. it's an easy spot for both of us because i can shoot while she's eating and she doesn't notice. disclaimer, i've been doing this for about a month and a half now though, so ..... might want to read this....this is from the FAQ page:

I usually shoot around the shoulders, towards the main body, where the skin is somewhat loose and can be picked up easily.
