Henry had a close encounter with a plastic bag too and ran through the house like superman at great speeds bounding and leaping over everything until I caught it and removed. It didn't set up any fear in him of plastic bags though; anytime one comes into the house and is set on the floor he is compelled to investigate the contents and licks the outside of it; doesn't chew, just licks. I read one time that some plastic bags are processed in plants that use a fish oil like substance, maybe this is the reason.
Henry also used to play with balloons, his favorite was a leopard print one I got for a party, he would push it around all over the floor, gently, it was months before he popped it and it scared the crap out of him but I fixed another one for him and he still played with. I am going to see if I can find a picture of him with it.
This isn't a cat story, but its funny. My little dog Daisy (GA) used to be chased by our hamster, Shittles (don't ask) also GA. Everytime I put him in the hamster ball, he would roll right up to Daisy. She would look at him and move away and he'd follow. Then she'd start running away from him and he'd speed up rolling the hamster ball right behind her.
They would run back and forth through the house like that.
I had a Manx kitty named Casey, he liked to sleep on a window bed. One night about midnight, he was rolling around while he was asleep and pushed the screen out of the window and fell out. Not to worry, it was a low window. But I was panicked, he was an indoor kitty, born in my house and had never been outside except in a carrier to go to the vet. We went out with flashlights, calling him for hours, no sign of him. I was in tears at this point and just knew he'd run off. My husband decided he's try a piece of bologna to try to see if he'd appear, we'd already tried tuna, cat food and his favorite treats. As soon as he smelled the bologna, he sauntered out from under the house right underneath the window where he'd fell out, yawning. This was about dawn. I think he was so scared when he fell out of the window, he just was frozen in place and then got so tired he went to sleep. We never knew he liked bologna before then.
