Hello! I am wondering if you feed your non-diabetic cat the same food you feed your sugar baby. Wet food is a must of course, but is low carb a must if they’re a healthy weight and not diabetic? I’ve been buying low carb for so long, that I have no idea what to look for in regards to regular wet cat food. There are so many options on the food chart. Thank you!

After Biscuits diagnosis I switched all the cats over to a diabetic friendly diet. Its just easier for us.

That was what I was doing as well. Now I no longer have a diabetic cat so that’s why I’m wondering if I should switch to a different kind of food.

Cats are obligate carnivores -- their bodies can't process carbohydrates (i.e., vegetables or fruit). Cats in the wild eat only their prey and whatever vegetable matter may be partially digested in their prey's digestive track. They need a diet that is high in protein and preferably muscle meat (vs. animal by-products). That's the long winded explanation for why both of my cats are on a high protein, low carb diet and neither of them are diabetic.
