Do you have a spreadsheet with his blood sugar data? Without that, it's hard to say if 188 is typical or how far below typical it is?

Hello Irina, if I recall correctly today is the first day of insulin, is that correct? Did Felix get BG pre-shot this morning?

We started shots Sunday night. Bg gradually going down with each shot: 323-304-277-286-239-242-188. These are all pre-shots am and pm starting Sunday pm. 242-today am, 188-pm. I fed him and gave 1 unit.

Looks like Felix is reacting well to the insulin, as for dosing will let more experience person answer. I would suggest that at minimum that you do another BG at + 2 tonight, to see if he will continue to have an active cycle. Nadir is mid cycle, so if he is still going down at plus 2 you may need to monitor further tonight

thought that may be happening, bounces. Seems to clear them fast too. If you are around to test tomorrow, try and get a few mid cycles BG like plus 2 and plus 6, or any you can get in addition to the amps.

I am at work all day. Planning to check every 2 hours on Saturday, maybe will have a clearer picture

Suggestion, just to add more data to your SS try and get a before bed BG. Any time you can get a mid cycle bg please do so, as nadir tends to be there and dosing changes tend to be decided on based on this.

Yes a curve provides a lot of useful information. I have a good feeling about your kitty, thinks he likes the insulin, reacting very well to it already. Let see how long this bounce lasts.
