We saw her tonight, and she was much peppier than before. She meowed, and purred, made a few biscuits and loafed. She even ate 6 little dry food cookies for us (but then did not want anymore). She was tired, and almost fell asleep while she cuddled up to me purring. She's still obviously tired, and a little woozy, but so much better. Hope she keeps this up! Ultrasound showed a normal tummy. Will update again in the AM. Hoping to have her home soon (as soon as it is safe)!
 
Visited her last night, and she is doing great. She peed, nibbled some food, made biscuits and tried to roll over for a tummy rub. Vet says he's going to ween her off the short acting insulin, and start reducing the electrolyte supplementation (potassium is now a bit high). Hope we will get her back very soon!

So Glad to hear Cam is feeling better Praying for Cam to feel good enough to come home
 
So pleased to hear a good report of Cam.
Are you prepared for when Cam comes home with Ketostix to test for ketones, plenty of food and some high carb as well.?
Ask the vet for some cerenia and ondansetron for nausea... don’t leave without that, and ask for the lab results so you can post them here. :bighug:
 
My baby is coming home today!! They said any time after 12pm. I will request the anti-nausea meds and the records. I have insulin, glucose test strips, and ketone test strips (I use the Precision Xtra blood monitor for ketones).

Thank you thank you thank you to all for all the prayers, well wishes, and advice. I feel so blessed to have found this group and you certainly helped me through this.

I am going to the pet store now to pick up food and treats. Any advice for home care - I'm nervous?

This is Great News ! Is Cam eating ? It’s ok to be nervous but you are part of the Family here now and we all can help you through even if you just need to talk . Please let us know how Cam is doing yes we still want to know WELCOME HOME CAM
