DISREGARD**Need advice

I hope you don't judge too harshly, but I need some advice regarding dosing for 7/27 pm and 7/28 pm based off of our attempted BG curve today.
I am scheduled to be out of town and wont be back until Sat 7/28 pm dose. My sister is going to be giving insulin 7/27 pm, and 7/28 am but is unable to test. I was thinking of having her give the 1u as I did today without incident, but I am also thinking that a 1/2u would be safest, though Pearl will still be a tad on the high side. Better high than too low. I know this is not ideal, but I would love your thoughts!

You haven't had enough cycles at the 1.0 unit dose, to see how low it will take Pearl. It can take 6 cycles for the depot to build. Actually, we hold the initial Lantus dose for 5-7 days, depending if following Tight Regulation or Start Low Go Slow Method for dosing. We determine the dose by how low it takes the cat, not the preshot values. You shouldn't have gone up to 1.0 units today. Which is my long winded way of saying, go back to 0.5 units, and keep giving that same dose for at least 10 cycles.

You might also want to leave a sample syringe, filled with coloured liquid, to show your friend what 0.5 units looks like.
