Hey! So I know I’ve found and read resources in the board and on the feline diabetes website about this, but I still feel confused. Is there much of a difference between human and pet meters? Should I be interpreting the results of my human meter differently?

Still getting the hang of home testing but it’s been getting easier! Thank you for all the support.

Normal on a human meter is 50-120 and on a pet meter it's 68-150. They are similar at low range and farther apart at higher numbers. Either will tell you if you are high or low.

If you follow any of the dosing methods here, they were written with human meters in mind. Cause until a few years ago when Abbott started marketing the AT heavily to vets, that's what everyone used and our dosing methods have been around that long.
