Is he the one from Florida. I logged in on a friends account while I was away and saw this yesterday. I came here now that I am home for an update. I can't find anything. . . I believe the cat was in a shelter in Florida. That in itself kind of scared me for him . . .

Sammy the DCIN cat I just adopted? He got home yesterday, travelled 12 hours and handled it like a champ. He's very handsome, and has a personality that is a dream, just the sweetest little man. I renamed him Sweet Potato but am calling him Spud/Spudster/Spuddy, Venita came up with the Spud nickname and I love it. I already have a civvie named Sammy so I couldn't have two

Yay! I have been looking for an update on him.

I think it is wonderful you adopted him. I hope it continues to go well.

Thank you, but I think I have an addiction>> LOL I know the feeling not so much with diabetics but here it is with ferals.

I am just glad Sammy has a forever home.

Now this isn't the cat that was posted from Florida is it? I wasn't "here" this weekend but I logged in for a second to check and see if Ginger found a home yet and saw something about a cat from Florida needing a home but now I don't see a post on that? Or was I having a really good 70s catnip moment??

I also work with community cats, there are four TNR'd colonies that I help feed, my car is always full with their dry and canned food and boxes for their food. Love my community cats, they get so excited when I drive up, then they walk with me to the station, but no touching :(

The kitty in Florida is Alex. http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=43971&p=469642&hilit=himmy#p469642 Ginger is still in foster and looking for her furrever home too.

LOL I know the feeling. my friends laugh at me.

then they walk with me to the station, but no touching :(>> Yes ours are the same way. I try not to get them to become friendly. We have a problem her in the city with the gangs using them if they can get them to train pitbulls. it breaks my heart. I put all my free time into Fairchild raising money to get our own clinic so we can take the numbers down. We use the animal rescue league for our clinics now for ferals. With a way we can manage better. Take the numbers down and offer daily medical care for ferals only of course.

When I come here I so much want to adopt one that needs a home but I only have room for one more. If I find one on the streets that really needs help I will tie my hands. That is why I apperciate people like you do much. I do have a special place in my heart for Ginger. . .

I am also not sure after Suzie I am the right person for a diabetic cat so I so much apperciate people like you that care so much for them. I am so glad Sammy found a forever home. I hope Ginger and alex do also. I have a friend that has a condo in Florida. I was thinking about him but that wouldn't work. He travels a lot. He lives here in Reading. He used to do the Gene london show. I will ask him next time I see him which should be tomorrow if he knows of anyone that would want Alex.

Anyway thanks for all you do for the cats. I know they are grateful and sammy is grateful.
