Diathrive meter

@MrWorfMen's Mom thanks Linda. I checked out that site. The strips only require .4ml sample so not bad and the subscription seems easy and CHEAP. $78 for 500 strips sent every 3 months automatically. All that said if not accurate it doesn’t matter. Anyone else have any info on this meter? I’m inclined to give it a shot but would love some in the field info from members here. Anyone?

There is a video on Facebook where they were doing side by side testing of the Diathrive against the bigger name/more popular meters and the results seemed reasonably good although admittedly in his test the Diathrive did read low by comparison. That said better low than high IMHO. The meter is using the updated FDA standard of 15% variance as opposed to the existing 20% that likely applies to all the other meters they were testing. The guy didn't do same drop testing for all the tests so it was a bit flawed but with all the variables in meters, the overall take away was that it definitely has reasonably priced strips, takes a small blood sample but may read a bit low. It also has a money back trial if not satisfied. And you always have your AT2 meter to double check for any very low readings. Just food for thought since the Relion/Arkay meters seem to be going extinct.

Yes it seems the relions are being phased for sure. I talked to the guys over at Diathrive. They were wonderful. customer service much like Chewy which is an anomaly these days. Think I’m gonna give it a whirl. You can nick name me guinea pig!! You guys are gonna have to guide me through setting up the new SS and not having a panick attack at lower numbers and shooting!

@Lisa and little You know we are here for you! We'll talk you down from the ledge should you need it.
You don't need a new spreadsheet. You can add a row across stating the change to the new human meter above whatever date you switch. Where the colour coding is outlined at the top, I think it's just a matter of changing the text and conditional formatting to get the colour coding to work automatically. The only readings that would be affected are greens between 68 and 50 and they can always be manually colour corrected.
