Diarrhoea from food change

Tricky food supplies mean that regular feed items go out of stock and I am on the search for new high protein lo carbs. I tested puss on a Wellness Boneless chicken and beef. She loved it. And Wellness give a good Nutrition analysis. But I think this has caused diarrhoea. Does moving a feline to a new menu require a few days for the cat to acclimatise? Diarrhoea stinks too!

Yes and the it can smell bad. Best way to change is to gradually mix some of the new food w/the old and increase the amount of new food. I would do the transition over a week.

You can try adding some probiotics such as Fortiflora to her food to help calm down her system.

If she doesn’t have IBD, you can try some pumpkin as well
