My cat Harry has just started insulin.
I am new to this board.
I have another cat also on insulin and she is doing fine.
Harry has diarrhea and vomiting.
What does this mean? What can I do?

Welcome on the board.

With so little information about Harry it's hard to give you a respons to why Harry has diarrea and vomits.

First, how old is Harry? Does he have other diseases or problems prior to the diabetes?

Second, when was Harry diagnosed with diabetes? What insulin does Harry have and how many units? Do you home test with a blood glucose meter?

Thank you for responding.
Harry is about 10. He is blind. He was hit by a car when very young.
He was hit in the head. His body was fine but he just bled from his eyes.
I found a wonderful vet who nursed him back to health.
He’s had most all of his teeth removed now.
He’s had a cough for quite sometime that we were treating with Prednistab.
He did not respond well to that at all. His coat lost its luster and he became weak.
He’s never been a big eater but he lost almost 2 lbs.
More tests were run and it was discovered that he is diabetic.
I am using Basaglar insulin glargine
1unit 2xs per day. My other cat is on the same dose.
Harry started March 17.
I have eliminated most of the dry food.
And replaced it with increased wet food and tuna.
Yesterday he threw up dry food and this morning he threw up the wet food.
He sleeps by my head and I can hear his tummy screeching.
I am also in contact with my vet but am very concerned and hope you might have some ideas.
Needled to say he is my heart.

Oh dear sigh This does sound like a trip to the Vet is needed. I dont have enough experience to give advice but hopefully this post will draw more responses.
Sending prayers for Harry :bighug:

It's possible that it's a GI upset, especially if you switched around his diet quickly. Many cats need to transition slowly from one type of food to another. However, it would be best if. your vet made sure that medically, all is good.

Are you home testing? Do you know if your cat's blood glucose levels were low?

Probiotics, especially S. boulardii, can help with the diarrhea. You may be able to find it onlineende. I usually purchase from Amazon but their delivery times are not the usual 48 hours presently. You might need to call around to see if Whole Foods or a health food store stocks it.
