Hello,
My 13yo medium hair domestic cat Verne was diagnosed one week ago today. He began insulin on 6/19. He's on Lantus, two injections per day. His blood sugar was at 665 when he was diagnosed. He's been on a partial dry/wet kidney diet for the past 10 months and his kidney levels are now good, but the Dr doesn't want to change his diet until his diabetes stabilizes. He's pretty much phased out of eating his dry food and has only been eating the wet, which sounds like it's better for him anyway. I'm not currently doing any home testing, I'm bringing him back on the 27th to have another blood draw.
Thanks!
Holly
