So an inverse yesterday on .8, stayed in the 300s last night at .6 and an inverse today at 1.2....... ?

Today was not inverse, it has been dropping all day.

Did you shoot yet? You want to make sure he is rising before shooting if you can.

Because he got more insulin this cycle.

There are a couple of approaches you can take. You can drop the dose and check out the inverse curves and see if that is the way to go and sneak up on the right dose or you can overpower his liver and keep the insulin pressure on him until he falls into line.

I have seen both approaches work. And you can probably tell the difference in the advise that you get. But ultimately it's up to you which approach you want to take and we will support you and advise you either way.

I think I prefer the approach of overpowering his liver. Should I keep on the 1.2 or go even 1.4? The 1.4 has kind of been his limit so far.
I think we really fell off track when I did that fur shot the other day.

Ok, that's about the same number, I would drop the dose by a little bit for tonight.

I'll try to explain better in the next post.

I'm not quite sure how to explain this. It's like a whole cat report when we take into consideration how a cat is doing, we look at the spreadshee and get the 5 P's, is he Preening, Purring, Playing, Peeing & Pooing. If the 5 P's are in place we figure the cat is doing well.

It's the same with the ss, you need to take into consideration, the cycles before, is he bouncing from a low number? If so then 1.4u might be a great dose. But once the bounce has cleared 1.4u might be way too much insulin and 1 unit might be the right dose. It's like you have to stay one step ahead of his bg's.

So since he has been dropping all day I would back off the dose a little bit to try to find the next best dose for where he is headed now.

I hope this helps, if not ask more questions.
