Hmmmm. I think it could be inverse or it could be that the curve is really long and he is still dropping at +12 or it is a reaction to yesterday. I don't know. Today's numbers are much better than yesterday. I am thinking less insulin regardless.

I hate to see you skip, but you have to wait until he is nearer 200 and is sure headed up. I think you'll have to wait at least the 30 minutes and see what the next number is. Can you avoid feeding? Do you have any flexibility re schedule?

He is a puzzle. All I can figure is that he is a cat that has taken a long time to adjust to the insulin and food.

Well, we were shooting blind for a year, so I could imagine it might take him awhile to get used to this kind of routine.

He has already eaten, and I'm sure he will skyrocket with the next 30 to 45 minutes. And I agree that he is a puzzle! :) Just when we think we have him figured out, he throws us a curveball.

Should I stick with the .8 or go .6 since he may have been inverse today? Just doesn't make sense since he was having good curves on 1 and 1.2

If you go with .8, I'd plan to get at least a +3 to make sure things are looking good. .6 would be the safer choice overnight. It might not be enough, but you can always increase next time. Your choice!

All I can think is that his body has taken this long to metabolize the insulin and the low carb food. I hope you get some other replies with some brilliant ideas. Wish Carl wasn't gone; he'd probably have a complicated scientific idea.

If i'm not too late I would go with .6u to see how he does with that dose since today did look inverse.

The steps to this sugar dance are always changing.

I did end up doing .6 just to be on the safe side. I'll be able to test him at +7, which is usually around his lowest point, so we'll see how it goes tonight. The only thing I can think of is since we switched his shot location from his scruff to his belly, we've had far better numbers.

Alot of people believe that they get better absorbsion from shooting the flank sides. Glad you will be able to get a +7, it sure helps to fill in the picture.
