Hello,
Has anybody had success resolving the problem of diabetic neuropathy in a cat? My cat isn't very well regulated yet and I'm just hoping once he is, the neuropathy will go away? Or will he continue to have problems with his back leg? He does get around just fine, but it's sad to see him kind of limping around. My vet hasn't impressed me thus far and I'm looking for a new vet. Thoughts?

Hi Angie, the link below will tell you how to set up your signature, it's at the end of everyone's posts in gray. It would help us a lot so we know more about your kitty, such as what insulin, pet or human meter, what you are feeding, when he was diagnosed, etc

We also have a spreadsheet we all use to track our kitties BG.
I see you have posted once before , I am going to put your previous link here

The link I gave you for setting up your signature will also tell you how to set up your spreadsheet and how to use it.
You say your cat isn't well regulated yet, I assume you are home testing?
If you can do your spreadsheet the members here might be able to help you with dosing and get him regulated.
If you need help setting it up just ask for help, we have 2 members here that will help you with it.

About the neuropathy, I will give you a link about Methyl-B12
My Tyler had neuropathy, it took about 2-3 month for me to see a difference
He was walking like a rabbit, flat footed.
Once I got him in better numbers and using the Methyl B-12 I would say he's 100%
better.
He is in remission as of 1-24-21

I will show you what you can order

https://www.vitacost.com/vitacost-vitamin-b-12-methylcobalamin-5000-mcg-100-capsules-6
For neuropathy

Alot of members use this , I use it myself you can buy it on line from Vitacost
Vitamin B-12 Methylcobalamin -- 5000 mcg - 100 Capsules
It's 17.99 just be sure this is the one you buy
Some us Zobaline , but it's expensive
This is the same thing
The only difference is the Zobaline has 200 mcgs of folic acid
So I buy the folic acid at the supermarket and crush it up and add it to the B-12
If you can't find the 200 mcg get the 400 mcg and cut it in half
The Vitacost brand is a capsule so just open it and pour the powder on the wet food
Has no taste, no need to crush it up
The Zobaline is 33.99 for 60 pills, too expensive
I saw a big improvement I'd say 3 months, could be sooner. One capsule a day.
Once you get your kitty better regulated the B-12 methyl will help
