Just got home an hour ago. He drank water for like 10 min straight. I haven't checked his BG. Insulin due in an hour. I know the prednisolone can also increase thirst. They also started catney-one supplement and I see that has corn and potato. So that may also increase BG. And pregaba.

Sooo the hospital was right?. I'm in unchartered territory here. He's 98 at +3. I fed him his regular low carb food. At what number do I give high carb food? 70?

Catney One doesn't have corn and potato in it.

There are other phosphorus binders like the popular aluminum hydroxide powder sold at Thriving Pets. Tanya's CRF web site has info on this and other binders. Are you on FKMB or the IO group associated with Tanya's web site?

Huh. I've never used it with Leroy. Well, I tried but he flat out refused to eat it. It was like gravel so I couldn't blame him. Aluminum hydroxide might be better. Supposedly most cats don't notice it.

I agree. Seems more common and good reviews. I think catney is newer and being pushed by vets right now because of aluminum side effects.
