Hi there. I just happened to see your post and I hope I can help. My cat Sid was diagnosed with diabetes in 2003. I was living in San Diego at the time and a fellow friend of mine referred me to the San Diego Veterinary Specialty Hospital. I went to see Dr. Jennifer DeBerry in 2004 after spending thousands in regular veterinary clinics. She was the first one that supported my decision to test Sid at home, and was there for me at any time if I wanted to send his numbers to her she would adjust the dose accordingly. She is also the one that recommended and started Sid on the PZI ( when it was available *sigh* ) She was just amazing! While I live in Texas now and haven't conferred with her in some time, my experiences with her really stuck with me. She saved him and I believe with her help went into remission a year or so later. She seems to still be there and I know they have another vet that is also very knowledgeable about diabetes. So long story short if you haven't tried them yet, I would certainly look them up! I hope everything goes well for you and your kitty.
