Went to see the broadway show, Beauty and Beast, with daughters last night and couldn't do the testing and shot. So DH finally said he would try. I trained him night before and left a long note. He texted me the BG at theatre and i told him how much. i had already had a "model" shot premeauresed with colored water for comparison. He did it with no problem. UNTIL....He texted me and said he had thrown up 30min past feeding and shot time. I did panic a little, but told him to feed him again. He never throws up unless he is either sick or stressed. DH said he did fine and didn't seem upset. WHo knows. Anyway, he ate another full meal again. When i got home at +5 i tested him and he was in the low 200's. His ear was all brusised up, but otherwise looked good.

He did GREAT and so proud of him. Now i know he can do it!!!! YEA!

Copper BG has still been running a little higher. Today he was in the 150's and now tonight high in the 300's again (379). Guess it's a bounce. Also, put on monthly advantage II today so could be that.

aNYWAY.... TOMORROW IS A NEW DAY

We saw Beauty and the Beast 2010; hope y'all enjoyed it!! YAY for DH even trying, but WOOT! for succeeding!!!!

But, he messed up by letting you know he can do it. ;-)

Have a great evening -

Libby (& Hershey, too!)

LOL!
When you said he threw up 30 minutes later, I thought you meant DH!

Funny! Even if it was DH that threw up he would never admit giving shot was traumatic. No, it was copper. I think Copper was stressed out, probably because DH was stressed.

Libby,
Yes i think he was afraid of showing he could do it. It doesn't want the responsibility. Maybe i could sleep in once in a while now and have him test and shoot. NOT!

Just glad i know he can do it if anything were to happen to me.

I thought the same thing LOL - isn't it a great feeling when you know they can help? I still come home sometimes and robbie's ear looks like he was in an episode of True Blood but ... he survives.

Your right Ellen. They do survive! i got to remember that when i stress out when i'm not home on time or fall asleep waiting to do the next feeding, etc. They do all survive!
