well here i am again with a desperatatley ill cat thanks in large part to my local vets. loong story short, one of my civie cats has been losing weight for about 8 months and even when he was down to six pounds they said to just keep giving him subq and they couldn't figure out what was wrong with him. they finally agreed to do an ultraound yesterday which they had said wouldn't help all along (their mantra is "if you can't feel it, it won't show up on an ultrasound) and he has dark spots in the middle of his liver, could be cysts, could be cancer, could be anything. they won't needle biopsy here because they aren't skilled inough could bleed. after all this time, they tell me to go to a specialist. this monring he is 5.4 pounds. i think it is too late now but ia mgoing to try to take him to a specialist.
this is also my fault, of course i could have taken him sooner and i tried but for practical reasons it was really hard and the vets here did sway me sayin they didn't see anyting wrong with him and to just maintain him on fluids. i wanted to believe it but deep down i new it was wroing i kept saying do you think he has cancer. should he get an ultraound. and they dpet saying no. there is more to this but i won't go into it now. i am mad at myself but i am more mad at the vets. they should resign from their positions.
question.
seattle washington area internal med speicalist that i have searched for online.
seattle veterinary specialist,
acces in lakewood and renton
VCA in lynwood
does anyone know anything about any of these clinics or have other ideas?
are there any others? does anyone know of dr. in that area who is excellent or at least good? i am desperate to find a competent vet. there are none here locally. please help me if you can. my cat is dying at this point and i need to find someone to help him. i don't want to wind up with another horrible vet.
