Taz is scheduled to go in for a dental cleaning, xrays, and possible extraction (depending on what is found) in early March. Has anyone used a product called Plaque Off (or something similar for their cats teeth)? I've read mixed reviews, mostly good, but I didn't know if it was ok for diabetic cats. I'm scared for him to be under anesthesia for an extended amount of time and even if this helped a little bit, I'm willing to try it if it's safe.

I have seen it used here several years ago by a diabetic cat who had major dental issues and couldn’t have anaesthetics, but unless we can see the ingredients, we can’t say if it is suitable for diabetic cats. Can you list the ingredients?

I conclude it is safe for diabetic cats. I doubt it will remove e heavy, existing plaque but likely helps prevent formation
