Ok. I am old and slow. So his shot time is still 2.5 hours later than you want it to be (8:15 rather than 6?). If so, I have a radical idea. (Because you just don't need any more things driving you crazy.). Tonight, skip the shot. Think of it as a fur shot. Tomorrow, feed and shoot at 6. Yes, he will be off for one cycle. But your life will improve. If you can't bear thinking of giving him no insulin, then give 0.5 units. Still feed and shoot when you want.

Okay, I like that! Think I am going to go with "what's behind door #2" the token dose, 0.5 units tonight at 6 pm and tomorrow we are back in the saddle! Thanks Sue!
