This morning AMPS was 410.
I hope I got the shot right. Kitty moved just as I gave him the injection.
Nothing to do for it now. Just have to what the numbers.

On another note. He has had voracious appetite since switching to the Wellness brand. Some very enthusiastic eating.
I am giving 2.1oz per feeding.
 
Don't worry too much--may see a food spike in the first couple hours before the insulin kicks in.

The shot didnt feel right. I was going in the side. I may have got it though. Time will tell.

Just wanted to let you know that someone is "watching", just popping in for a minute....
I would expect the numbers today to be sort of wonky, new dose related type of thing, so don't freak out about them. It will probably take a couple of cycles of "settling" until we can make some sense out of them. Good on the ketones! Those are concerning anytime, but with high BG numbers, even more so.

He is floating steady in the 400's today.
He had a snack a little before the +6 reading. Straight turkey.
 
Not very exciting but you weren't sure about the shot this am. I would stay with the dose another cycle and be sure to test for ketones.

Not exciting. But no crazy swings in all direction either.
I def got it right this evening. Kitty is not a loose fleshed creature on the sides.
+2 is 350.
 
Try to limit non-catfood to about 1/6 th of the total diet - plain turkey does not have all the nutrients the cat needs and you'll run the risk of deficiencies from an unbalanced diet.

I just set some out for snacking purposes. They get 2oz of Wellness morning and evening.
Cheaper than buying snacks at the store.
I may refill on the FreshPet.
