The current Diabetic Cats in Need Fundraiser will be funding the needs of several cats known to the Lantus ISG community, including Beasley, Blackie, Jake, Tinkerbelle, Twinkie, and Yoda. There is another cat with an extreme need that we have promised not to identify by name. Please read about Anonymous Cat #2, and help that cat and the others, if you can, with a donation to DCIN. We also gladly accept well wishes and prayers for a successful fundraiser.

Here is a little nudge for this post... There are LL kitties being helped by DCIN (Diabetic Cats in Need). I know one LL kitty that needs some surgery and DCIN is really trying to help this kitty out. @-)

Many hugs to Venita and her board of directors for coming to the aid of these precious kitties. ((((DCIN))))

Any bit of financial help you can give is always appreciated. Lots of pennies can add up to saving a diabetic kitty or two. :-D

And of course your kind thoughts and encouragement are always welcomed!

Yoda is a wondrous diabetic Siamese that Kelly rescued and has nursed back to excellent health and diet control. The Fall Fundraiser is trying to raise $232 to pay for Yoda's past vetting costs, including a dental that him over the border to Niagara Falls. No one has donated for him yet. Let's make today YODA'S DAY!!

I will PM you Lisa and Sara. For others with the same question, please follow the link in my sig labeled "How to Donate." That will take you to a page on the DCIN blog that explains how to donate via PayPal without fees, and to indicate in the PayPal memo box which cat you wish to help. PM me if you need a mailing address for a check or money order.

Thanks for donating!!!

I am adding two more prizes to the Fall 2010 Fundraiser. Two sets of the Bayer Contour meter and 500 strips. Will even throw 300 lancets into each of those prizes. Each a $270+ value at Hocks.com. I am hoping this will encourage more participation as donations have leveled off and this is the final weekend before the drawing next Tuesday.

(Sorry, I previously said these were the USB meters, but those already have gone to needy diabetic cats.)

Hi Everyone,
I'm bumping this up again because the need is critical for some of these kitties. Just think of how much Venita and DCIN do to help kitties in need of medical procedures and kitties who need homes. Her skill and dedication are awesome. If not for DCIN, my DH and I would not have known about Rusty. And now, thanks to Venita's wonderful organizational experience, Rusty will be coming to live with us next weekend.
The DCIN fall fundraiser needs to raise a lot of $ in the next few days. Please find it in your hearts (and pocketbooks) to make a donation. You will help to make a lot of kitties happy.

Ella
