DCIN foster Albert needs a furever home. Read his blog here: http://fdmb-cin.blogspot.com/2012/04/albert.html

Albert is still being very fussy about food and not eating a whole lot. He's been eating tuna, but over the weekend he didn't want to eat anything. His BG went down into the double digits which isn't normal for him, even without insulin. I gave him some dry to get some food into him and naturally his BG went up, but not terribly high. I almost gave him a tiny dose when I got a 212 reading, but I decided to wait and test again in an hour. An hour later he was going down so I held off on the insulin. Today he was 140/139 for his am/pm preshot numbers. He's eating his tuna again, but I'm trying to come up with other ideas on what else to offer him to get him to eat.

Other than the food issue, Albert is doing well. I opened his window yesterday and he got spring fever. Today he meowed for me to let him go outside. I told him he could only go out there on a leash with me. So I put the harness on him and took him out and he was very, very happy and much more relaxed this time. He did a lot of sitting down and only a little bit of walking, but he was able to get around the front yard with me trailing behind him. His neuropathy seems better than when I first brought him home. I am hoping his back legs will totally get better.

Here he is looking outside from his room, before I took him out. I put a board on top of the headboard of the bed to make a little shelf for him, and there is a large cat carrier on the bed right nearby for him to climb up and off of.

He gave himself a little dirt-bath on the driveway (although I suspect he was trying to shed the harness off of him...he looked so happy nonetheless...)

He is gorgeous! Yes, he has some Bengal in him. Our neighbors had a full blood Bengal, they feed raw diet. That cat looked amazing.

Albert will look just as amazing when he finds his furever home.
Best Wishes, Albert!
