I am pleased to report that Pippin is doing well. He has emerged from his lethargy and is returning to his usual bright-eyed and purry self. The 1 unit of Lantus every 12 hours seems to be doing the trick nicely. He felt the last couple shots but all he does is flinch and move a couple feet away. He forgives me almost immediately so all good. I'll update again next week after his test kit arrives and I can get some readings. But no sign of hypoglycemia, appetite is still good, no more excessive drinking, coat feels better. I am a bit sleep deprived, but we have been gradually moving his shots forward about ten minutes a day as 6 am was really early. I work from 1 pm to 10 pm and can't just go to bed immediately after getting off work. I hope to get it to 7 am by next week. He eats 3 small meals of the fancy feast classic, on in am, one at my lunch hour around 4 or 5 pm (then his shot at around 6:30 pm with a treat) and one before bed. And the occasional no carb treat for tricks. Once I have additional data will fill out the spreadsheet. In the meantime I have a note going to keep track of each shot.

Thanks for all the good info.

If you work from 1-10, then won't 11am and 11 pm be better shot times? How are you going to give the 7pm shot if you are working?
