Today, 82 AM, 84 PM.
I ran out of my Relion Micro Strips, I have one unopened 50 strip pouch I didn't want to open if I'm not going to test frequently for awhile. I'd rather keep it and buy a smaller set of the micro strips if I'm only going to test once a day for awhile.
I have the EasyMax meter I had gotten for free at the pharmacy at first diagnosis, and still have 28 strips to use up that are opened. This meter is a headache because it doesn't give me much time to get the sample before it shuts off. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone especially a beginner. But I think I can use it for the next month just to use up the strips. Anyway, was hoping it wouldn't be too different in the reading, but the AM was 82 and PM was 84, so right on target with the earlier days. I'm going to let the vet know tomorrow that Squirt is officially past the 2 week mark, and I think we are in remission! Yeah for Squirt! Thanks to everyone here who helped me along the way, and special thanks to Chris (and China) who was there when I'd hit a frustration point. Got us turned in the right direction! Squirt and I thank you!

(If all the numbers have been below 130 mg/dL - my phone doesn't like the spreadsheets - try selecting File, Publish to the web and sharing that link)

Whoo hoo! You've done it. Congratulations! otj_icon

Great news; am thrilled for you!

Awww...thanks Susan but I'm just really happy for both you and Squirt!

When China and I first got here, others were here for us, so I enjoy "paying it forward" and helping the next guy if I can.

Hope your vet is as happy with Squirt's progress as we are!!

Looks like she's "Officially OTJ" to me!! :RAHCAT

It is wonderful after the shock of going through diabetes to achieve remission. I know how relieved I felt. I would just caution you to continue to test at least once a week and watch the litter for signs of increased urination. We had a short relapse after 8 months but because I was still home testing it was caught early.

Congratulations!!!!!!!!!

Wise advice there, Anita (and 'good catch' on the relapse BTW!)

Susan, also watch out for any infections (dental, UTI etc) that can raise the BG and throw remission off track.
And never forget that remission essentially means Squirt is now a diet-controlled diabetic. So don't let anyone sneak her a high carb treat.

Again...
 Congratulations!

Each Cat Is Different. Take a look at the spreadsheet in the 1st post to see the timeline.

Dusty was off in about 3 to 4 weeks once I started helping his mom who9 could not test due to viaion problems and arthritis.

LOL yup, Hidey's been OTJ since March and I still test OFTEN.....I constantly worry I'll miss something, so I think the most I have went without testing is around 4 days. Luckily He lovvvvvvvves the extra treats he gets for it, but I know I can cut back it's just my own fear.

Or maybe you're just addicted to testing, Samantha? ;-)
It's OK to confess; you're among understanding friends here...
